School Green Project

“Kadrinchey Mewang Chhog”

To celebrate the 60^th Birth Anniversary of His Majesty the Fourth King; group of teachers  and students of this school has unanimously agreed to initiative a Green Project to contribute to conservation of environment, which is one of the dynamic pillars of Gross National Happiness. The project was launched on May 2, 2015 coinciding with Teacher’s Day and Birth Anniversary of THIRD Druk Gyalpo.

Objectives:

The main objectives of this project are to:

1.     Create a conducive learning environment in the school.

2.     Create a litter free environment in the community.

3.     Educate the children about the effects of pollution.

4.     Sensitize the importance of Conservation of environment in the Community.

Programs to fulfill our Objectives

To initiate the Green Project, following are the proposed programs.

1.     Collection of Plastic bottles, cans and paper waste in the community.

2.     Conduct Inter-Class Competition.( Class cleanliness, Saplings, class garden )

3.     Adoption of stream near the school.

4.     Assist Nature Club Cleaning Campaigns.
